Key Industry Updates:
SEO: Google Tests New Desktop Sitelinks Format
Google seems to be testing a new look and user interface for the sitelinks in the Google search results snippets. I had two different people from India send me screen shots on Twitter, including @V_VipinYadav and @himani_kankaria. The new look shows the sitelinks lined up vertically instead of them in a side by side grid format.
Paid Search: AdWords rolls out new interface to all advertisers
Google has announced that the new AdWords interface is now available to all advertisers. The new “experience” was unveiled last year, followed by a rollout over several months, from August of last year until the present. Along with new features for data visualization, the overhaul enhances load speed of account data up to 20 percent, according to Google. New reports and controls built into the updated experience have also been highlighted periodically by AdWords on their blog over the past several months.
Paid Search: Bing Ads launches Multi-Linking for multiple-account management
Starting today, Bing Ads is rolling out a more streamlined and intuitive mechanism called “Multi-Linking” for linking one account to another. The new system allows advertisers to link accounts without having to classify itself as an agency, as advertisers had to do previously. In addition, accounts can have up to five managing entities, and billing responsibility can also be moved between entities with no pausing of the account necessary.
Paid Search: Google AdWords New Days To Conversion Report
Last week, Google quietly announced on Google+ a new feature to help advertisers understand the time it takes for their customers to convert after they click on their ads. Google wrote “we’re introducing “Days to conversion” reporting to help you see the time between ad clicks and conversions.” So this report lets you get a quick snapshot on how long it takes for your customers to convert.
Paid Search: New Google AdWords Design & Features Now Available To All
Google announced last week that the new AdWords interface, after years and years of testing and incremental rollouts is now available to all advertisers. On Wednesday night, Google said “starting today, the new AdWords experience is available to all advertisers.” We’ve covered the new AdWords interface dozens of times, so there is not much for me to add, outside of that it is now available for all advertisers. There is not set time for when Google will sunset the old AdWords interface.
